2017 Winter Course Starts!

Wow! What a great 2017 we have had here at LBKA, with all of our courses being very well attended. To top it off, our fully booked 2017 Winter Course started this week.

The students were all suited up and had over an hour’s hands-on practical experience in the association hives. Our practical session consists of small groups of new beekeepers with an experienced beekeeper who shows them how to conduct a colony inspection. This is followed by students having a go at inspecting and explaining to the group what they are doing and what they see. Before and after the practical session were 2 short talks about what to expect on future lessons, the format of the course and what people had learnt.

It was a great evening enjoyed by all!
