Happy New Beekeepers!

Last Wednesday night saw the final session for the beginners on the Spring Course.

They had a great night of practical sessions and a talk on queens and swarming.

With both the Spring Course and the Weekend Course now behind us, our season has been moving along at quite a pace. We have another day of Taster Sessions coming up in August and before we know it we will be welcoming the next lot of beginners on the Winter Course.

All of this happens along with managing our apiary at Temple Newsam, mentoring new beekeepers, running a shop of beekeeping supplies for our members, visiting schools etc who are interested in bees, collecting swarms, looking after our own personal hives and processing honey etc etc.

There is always something to do when you are a beekeeper!
